Hi guys. I am playing live today and I brought my BCAn kit. Only the bass drum will be mic'ed.
I borrowed some cymblas from a friend drummer, and I just returned home to take a shower and change clothes for the gig.
I will try to use a pc metronome. I say "I will try" because we have some limitations as far as monitoring is considered and I don't know I will hear the guitar and bass from the monitor, if I put headphones for the click.
Anyway, I go for the shower now.
Pics and maybe video tommorow.
BTW the drumset sounds amazing driverseat, but since I play acoustic, it doesn't sound good a few meters away.

Guys it was a disaster. As I was typing the quoted message, it started raining. I jumped of my seat and started looking for a big piece of nylon I had in order to cover the kit if it rains. I look here and there but nowhere. Desperate as I am, I find two small nylon pieces and a bag for covering the car. I head to the place of the gig, and thankfully the rain hadn't started yet, and the owner of the place had put my gear somewhere safe.
He moved the bass drum with the toms On (can you f....n believe this?). I has like crazy when I heard his answer to my question "how did you move them?". I don't even want to imagine how he moved the suspended floor toms on the stand. Anyway, no damage to the kit, and I learnt my lesson. BCAn kit never outside again.

follow the "eff" with a "puck" minus the "p" and replace the "c" in chit with an "s" and you'll know what it means....

So this is going back in a little, but what is the thing on the kick that is covering what looks to be the hole from the mounting bracket??? I know they made one of these for Pearl that MassMusic was selling...did they make one for Yamaha too?

Alright fellas and ladies if there are any on the old yammy thread. I have the chance to nab this 3pc rc anniversary kit for 850. I tried to offer him 850 for the anniversary drums and the 18 but he countered with just the anniversary kit. How much higher if any should I go for the 18? There are some issues that you will notice if you look at the link the seller provided in his auction. For one the drums are a bit nicked up( I can live with that) and the thing bothering me is the floor tom bracket holes on the 16 that he put a rack mount on. What do think good deal or ok deal or bad deal?
One other thing is I typically if playing a 3pc favor a 10 over a 12 and finding a matching 10 for this one could be nearly impossible. If someone else on the forum nabs these I have only myself to blame and will just go back to the drawing board. Many thanks.

The few dings or scrapes are not a huge deal, but I'm not sure they're worth $850. with the mods he did to them. D: What a dumbass. He should have left them original.

^Agreed. Also, I believe I've seen better overall deals than this for RC's unless you're particular on the finish.
