i got it from my uncle this summer for free...took 150$ and alot of time but i finished cleaning it...the specs are 20*?, 12*10(?), and 14*14...the snare is 14*5.5 the ride and hats are hand made in japan and came with the kit(i dont know the age yet) the crashes were added on by me along with the boom arm stand and the boom arm add on..

sounds really good...considering my uncle had it in his basement for 25 years...but i was amazed after i put on the new heads, and fixed up the snare! its not perfect but i would definetly use it in gigs and stuff!

I think I can date your uncle's (now yours) kit based on the lug style, rail consolette bass drum to tom mounting hardware and kick spurs. Your kit looks to be an early 1962-63 star kit that were the preludes to the early imperial and royal star kits.

Nice looking kit for the era and age. What do the badges read on your toms? maybe I can dig a little deeper for you to get a difinitive answer on the year make and series.
