"Why is that mirror sneezing?"

"Ah, look, it's just an old, creaky mirror, y'know, sometimes it sounds a little like it's sneezing, or coughing, or talking softly."

I just got a copy off eBay for GameCube but the disc doesn't work. The guy said it was scratch-free and in working order, but I've tried it on two systems now and it won't play on either. Probably because it's very scratched... I'm gonna try getting it resurfaced since I got it for a good price.

Man, unpacking moving boxes sucks lol. I have my kitchen, bedroom, and living room unpacked so now it's going to take 3 months to unpack the rest. On the plus side, Legs assembled our new smoker/grill/pizza oven so it's gonna get real rowdy here. I'm dying to make a Lahmacun "Turkish Pizza", and I'm sure he'll smoke a brisket sometime in the not so distant future.
We've semi-jokingly discussed him opening a weekend BBQ business when I get through with med school. The brisket he makes is legitimately that good, and we have a killer German Potato Salad recipe along with sensational smoked Mac & Cheese for the sides.

For a start it's the best sounding gig I've ever been to - you could hear every single ping when the tip hit the ride; the splashes were all coherent and clear; the snare could break your neck and the kicks punched you in the chest. Everything was just so clear and crystal, the mix was outstanding. Then the light and video screen show was unbelievable. I assume that's what it feels like to be on LSD. Really REALLY enjoyed it. A lot.

Really should've just started my own company at this point.

Uprooting your entire existence and feeling of “home” is never fun, no matter how much you’ve planned things out and how exciting your next destination may be.

Here's a sad story but I hope it doesn't bring your day down: One week in April back in 2017, Legs and I moved from a rental house into our Utah house, and a few days before I mentioned it to a friend from my running club. Without me asking for help, this guy says "What time should I be there on Saturday? I'll bring my flat bed trailer." Then he tells 2 other guys in the club that we're moving on Saturday and convinces them to come. Sure enough, we get the entire house moved in 7 hours, washer and dryer set up, heavy furniture in the right rooms, etc. Then a few weekends later at our housewarming party, he drops off a Home Depot gift card. I mean, what kind of person volunteers to help you move and slaves away for 7 hours?! One year later, my friend is dead by his own hand. Now, even though it sucks, I always try to help people move since we too have a big truck. Paying it forward in honor of my friend.
But also if you're not in your 20s anymore, just hire movers, don't make your friends do it for beer and pizza.

That said, I still miss your original name.

I don't actually mind moving people that know what they're doing and are appreciative, but far too many times I've rolled up at the specified time to find that the people moving have done absolutely nothing to prepare. No packing, no boxes made, nothing. I moved one of my Lt's twice within 12 months a few years back when she built her house, and I'd move again her anytime she needed. Everything was packed and ready in hard plastic totes that were labeled by room. Smoothest move I've ever done.
I've been that person needing help, so as long as my body is up to it I'll be glad to pitch in. You're good people for doing the same. I'm the grandpa of my friend group being in my thirties while the rest are in their early 20's, so it's great fun helping them build their lives and attain their goals. Since I've already walked most of those roads(kids, cars, mortgages), it's nice to be able to show them the way and hopefully save them some heartache/headache in the process.
