        That's pretty. I'm not trying to diminish it - it really is pretty - but I still can't help that whenever I see satin hardware I immediately think of those toys that have plastic parts painted to look like metal... Still, it really suits that blue sparkle!

                        I got a new toy worth posting: a Gretsch Bell Brass. And oh my goodness. I think I’m in love with it. I took some pics of it hanging out with a couple of my other brass snare drums.

                          New 2nd hand snare day! Replaced head with an Evans UV1 and also swapped out the plastic snare strainer with orange cord. Picked her up for about ~$355USD.

                          Sounds fantastic! A lot more depth to the sound compared to my MMC.

                              Very nice! You know, a few weeks ago I kept looking at an open box Reference 6.5x14 in Inca Gold Burst with black hardware on eBay for a nice price and it kept making me think about your kit.

                              I believe it was on sale right at $630 USD. I was seriously considering buying it until someone else pulled the trigger first.
