New Guy. My Forum Set !

I found Wine Red set on craigslist, $40.00. No H/W, no cymbals, not even heads. First thing I did was order some 2.3mm hoops for the 12", 13" and 16" I found a Sensi-Tone Steel Snare that I got so cheap, someone should have called the cops ! I run Remo C/S clear batters, and Remo Ambassador clear for reso heads. Bass batter is the ever popular Powerstroke 3 and a Logo reso. For cymbals, I am currently switching over to XS20's from B8 Pro's. So my hats, and #2 crash are still B8's. My ride, China and #1 crash are XS20's. Gibraltar tom holders, that have been modified to not protrude into the toms, throne, BD pedal, HH Stand and 2 booms. Other booms are Pearl. I no longer play in a band, but my youngest does. And he plays them out pretty often, and gets nothing but compliments. Other then THAT, I'm pleased to be here, and to see so many Forum fans.

Nice! I had the same kit years back (set up 1 up, 2 down) same color as well! Nice sounding drums for the money! Nice job on the rebuild! Sabian XS... cool!

Currently, my youngest Son has em set up 1 up, 2 down. Me ? I'm pretty much done playing.... Back is really bad, and I cant sit behind em any longer then 10 minutes. Eh...It is what it is. But I thank ALL of you for the kind words !!!

Thank You ! It is what it is...But as most will attest, good hoops, heads and tuning make all the difference !
For a basement hobbyest who no longer plays in a band, and wont again, they're perfect. And for my 15 year old Son who has now claimed them, again, a perfect kit for him to bash away on. I will say that the Ambassador clear batter heads the wife got me for X-Mas have pretty much seen their last day. He hits that hard....Kids, ya know ? So we're thinking about going with clear pinstripes, to handle his playing styles a bit better....
