HI There, I've only had that China for about a month. I'm still getting used to it, but it's pretty comfortable for me. That is a brand new P-2030 hi-hat stand. I just bought a brand new Reference (See Reference thread, Massive Dream Kit Ordered) and once I set that up, I may saw off some of the hi-hat rod for more practical playing. However, I've played my kit in this setup for 30 years, and its super comfortable for me.

All that matters is that it's comfortable for you! I'd try booming the ride just a little closer to the kit to see if it feels any better because you could probably save conserve some motion/energy by keeping it closer. I also love the Ultra Hammered China. I have an Oriental right now and it's nice but nothing comes close to the Ultra Hammered. If you decide that your new Reference kit isn't for you, I'd be happy to take it off your hands! I've wanted a double bass Reference kit for as long as I can remember.

I saved 10 years to buy my new Reference, there ain't no way I'm selling it! lol Its a 12-piece, plus 1 MW rack tom. I still have about 3 more months before it arrives. But I am selling my Export if you are interested in that

Hi Everyone,
I am the original owner of these 1990 Exports in Ferrari Red. The sizes are: 8x8, 10x10, 12x10, 13x11; 16x16, 18x16; 22x16 (2); 14x 61/2. I restored them about 2 years ago. They look and sound great! You can find them in their pre-restored version in this thread, #90. I love power toms. I wish they start making a comeback.

Thank you for the shoutout Pearl I can't tell you how many lawns I had to mow as a kid to buy this kit! It took about 2 years, but totally worth it! As you see from my post, I am a patient person. I have saved for 10 years in order to buy that new Reference kit. Patience and hard work due pay off

Put this kit together to play live. Used it for a couple years, then retired it and gave it to my kids.
