wow is it so fast for you to order a drum kit? i am ordering an EX "option" jet black with black hardware and stuff... but it wasn't complete in the shop so they ordered me a base drum and a 10"x8" tom and then they'l send me a e-mail... but they still didn't react yet,,, is this normal?

It's not musicians friend's fault if the drum is on back order. They don't make the drums so they have no control over when they can get it.

You do realize the Pearl Export series has been discontinued?

Anyone could have told you that. And Exports are discontinued, hence the back order.

Dudes, i heard in the shop I always come you can still order Export drums for over a few years. Because many people still want it, the factories are still making Export, the shop said that in the E-mail I got yesterday. You don't have to rush to get Export drums... you can order it in your shop and they will ask the factories to make that, but your ordering will be there after a few months.

My question: Which tom should i take; 13"x11" or 13"x10"?
I asked this on more thread 'cause I need an awnser TODAY.

            Thanks, DrumPuppet

I just ordered an export kit from massmusic and they told me it might take up to 120 days for me to get the kit. It's going to be

                15x14 rack tom
                18x16 floor tom
                24x16 bass drum

In jet black w/ black hardware, I'm going to use it as a gigging kit. (I have a MCX also so the wait won't be THAT bad I guess)

Huh? Mostly people order 22"x18" bassdrum, right?
                  I orderd two of 'em
I need to wait like 4 months before I get the whole kit... In the shop there already is one, and that's MINE!!! I ordered an extra bassdrum and two extra toms
I think this doesn't interest you very much

Yeah most people get 22x18 bass drums..I have pretty standard sizes on my MCX kit but I wanted an export in huge sizes to get a deep sounding kit like Dave Grohl from Nirvana used to have. And it's going to be my "gigging set" which is why I didn't want to get anything expensive or with laquered finish. The export is pretty much perfect for what I want, they have it in all different sizes and the finish is wrapped so it will be durable enough to just toss it in the car for gigs. Poplar shells won't bother me because I believe that good heads and proper tuning can make almost any set sound professional grade. I also have to wait up to 4 months, but it's ok, I'd rather wait and get the sizes I want rather than settle for the visions which don't have the sizes I need.

I ordered them from massmusic. They didn't have them in stock and had to special order. I also contacted another place who said they had them availible, then when I went to get a quote for how much shipping was going to be, they said they didn't have them in stock, they were going to charge $50 for shipping, and on top of that I was going to have to pay tax of around $75 because they were in the same state as me. So massmusic was a no brainer.
