another head thread you say?

hey im ordering some new heads for my ports and i was thinking remo ambassador coated on toms and snare (steve ferrone sig) and a coated evans emad.

whats the difference between the emad and emad 2? do they add an extra ply to it? they dont offer a coated version in the 2 so im more pushed towards the regular emad.

any opinions/suggestions? thanks

emad is single ply clear and coated
emad 2 is 2 ply clear

emad clear is exccellent on an export.

im looking for that warmer sound all around, iv always had clear on the bass i think i might try the coated.

cool, yeh the coated emad would be warmer than the clears anyway.

i currently have a coated emad on my kick. pretty warm, and i have it tuned up pretty tight, so a major thump also.
