  • At last nights gig....

I let another drummer sit in on a few songs,
it was the first time I've ever heard my 2001
    Exports from afar.

And I must say....they sounded great

I have an old 15" Zildjian crash that I was considering
getting rid of....until I heard it out front, it sounds sweet

I would recommend that if you've never listened to
your drums being played by someone else, you should
do it, you'll be suprised how differently they sound

Everything sounds good from far away, you loose all the weird overtones and all the other bad qualitlies u hear when your rite ontop of the kit.

My zXt sounds like hell when i'm rite ontop of it, but when i'm sitting with the crowd......."OMG"

That's right, and alot of guys will put Hydraulics on
the toms and stuff their kicks full of pillows and use
a roll of duct tape on the snare batter and the drums
sound great....to them, but meanwhile to the audience
they sound like cardboard boxes, especially if they're
      not miked up.
