Here's the most recent pic I have (back in April I believe...?) Added a few things since then and my setup changes pretty frequently. I have been playing the Roland a lot lately due to neighbors and noise restrictions. My acoustic set has been feeling a bit neglected lately. That's why I had to buy the 8x7...keep it happy and all.

    The stooges are awesome btw

      Kit looks good!

UPS just got here with my LG-07's so now I'm looking at the 14x11 tom tom set up on legs as a floor tom. Yeah me! It'll be a week or so until I can get pictures. Friday the earliest.
Now I'm really salivating to do the same with a 16x13.

I should have taken pics last night because tonight will be more hectic with a full dress rehearsal. But, I will take them. Post them asap, hopefully over the weekend.

For me, an old timer used to floor toms with legs, it was a huge difference having legs on the 14x11. I had more confidence in it's stability somehow. Positioning it and the cymbals it used to share a stand with was a breeze for each. If I wanted to adjust its positioning ever so slightly through the evening it was easy as pie. Could hardly do that when it shared a cymbal stand. Awful! Best over all floor tom positioning too since I've had the kit!
          Good on me.
          Looks cool too!
Gotta find a 16x13 and do the same. That kit needs to be 7 pieces, it's screaming for it.

Well... now, the kit is 7 pieces! The 14" has legs but the newly acquired 16x13 still needs brackets installed and legs too.
Anyway, here's a photo. I'll post more later:

This is the remaining cast members toward the end of rehearsal last night at the Centennial Theater at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel.

The legs look pretty slick on that 14"! You've got a great looking set!

I'm still waiting on the I.S.S. mount for my new 8" so I haven't mounted it up on the set yet, but I'm pretty stoked for it.

Like having a crush on a girl I can't get the kit off my mind.

I like not having a "box" 14 and 16 and the legs make all the difference. I've got the 16 hanging on it's own stand so it's not as much an issue like the 14 was sharing a stand with cymbals. Still, it will be on legs soon as well.

D2k7, you will enjoy having that extra little tom tom. I didn't think I would like the 8" so much. I just wish it was 5 lug instead of 4. 00**

Just goes to show that you don't necessarily need a high zoot kit to get ya grinnin'!

Yes, it's a funny phenomenon I've been trying to reason in my own mind. Do I like the mid level stuff better than the high end? And, why? Does that make me trailer trash of the drum world?

                        I was just thinking...

Hahaha.. well .. I used to own a Masters custom MMX.. quite frankly my Vision birch/basswood/birch shells are easier to tune and sound better to my ears than I could ever get the high zoot MMX to sound. I guess you and I may be anomalies!

Oh nice! A ressurected thread dedicated to one of my favorite EXR colors. Here is my GMS kit, some pics the first night I got her, and then some more recent pics. My cymbal set up is always changing, but feel free to ask me anything about the set up. I am also downsizing and getting rid of the straight rack. Going to used the curved rack on the EXR and go with stands on the SBX.

and finally, a pic of where I practice. That is my Blue Burst Sessions SBX next to the GMS
