Does anyone know how you could go about auditioning for a drumcorp?

Look up the corps you're wanting to audition for and find out when and where their camps are taking place.... Make sure you are more than prepared when you attend your camps. Audition packets are usually found on the corps' website

Edit: I can't stress the 'being prepared' part enough.

Are the packets free?

Some are, some are not. World class corps audition packets usually require a $10-$20 fee.

Do you know any free ones off the top of your head?

Off the top of my head, no. Free audition packets usually lie within the realm of open class corps though. Either way, if you end up purchasing an audition packet and don't end up making the corps, you're really not losing anything. The experience you'll get from camps and mastering the audition packet are well worth $20. Of course, this is just my opinion.

I don't see a reason why you shouldn't audition! Marching corps is one of the best experiences in the world! Just practice. A lot!

Indeed. Marched my junior year. Small open class corps out of Texas called Revolution.

Ok so how does that work out with school and everything?

attend camps over the weekend regardless if it means missing school or not Oct-May. All days start as soon as school finishes in June. After all days, you depart for tour over the entirety of the summer.
