  • 30" Ride cymbal

I went into my local drum shop today and stood up right in front of the entrance was a Stagg 30" ride (yes 30 inch). The bell on it was about 10" in diameter and it weighed an absolute ton.
The shop owner said a few of the pro's had started using them, he mentioned Roger Taylor of Queen.

    Has anyone on here:
    a) Played one? How does it sound apart from LOUD.
    b) Own one?

But damn! 30" is pretty large (ok, it's extremely large!). Yes, I know that there is some dude playing a paiste 32" ride, but this is gigantic too!
