  • Which Crash to Buy?

I am planning to buy a Sabian 18 inch or 19 inch thin crash next week. I am considering the AA Raw Bell Crash, the AA Thin Crash, the AAX Thin Crash, and the AAX X-plosion Fast Crash. If you have an opinion or experience with any of these, please comment below. Have an excellent 2021. Peace and goodwill.

I have 18" & 19" AAX X-Plosion Fast crashes. For me they have a good balance of attack and decay, not as bright as AA and they don't ring for days. I also mix them up with the HHX Studio series.

I ended up buying two crashes from My Cymbal.com. I ordered a 17 inch and an 18 inch AAX Studio Crashes, which are thin and open easily. Thanks for all of the responses. Peace and goodwill.

You're welcome and should be happy with those choices.

          Ack! Late to the party!

Did you try the HHX Evolution Crashes? I like a lot of the AAX crashes, but those Evo's are sublime.

I got the AAX Studio Crashes for just a little more than what one HHX 18" crash costs. I have played an 18" AAX Studio Crash many times at the church I went to for about twenty years. Plus, I was able to see videos of both of them on mycymbal.com. Peace and goodwill.
