How do you guys feel about the A Custom Projection crashes?... i got a 16" one and love it

but i would go for
14" A Custom Mastersound Hi-Hats
15" A Custom Projection crash
16" A Custom Projection Crash
22" K Custom Dark ride
20" Oriental China (Old style pref but will settle for new style)

Haven't tried the projection crashes, but I'd go for this type of setup if I could afford it.

16" A Custom Crash
14" A Custom Mastersound HiHats
18/19" A Custom Crash
20" K Custom Hybrid Ride
18" fx Oriental China "Trash"

But thats a while off...I can't get any more drum gear for 2011, I told my parents I wouldn't coz I've spent over $1,000 NZD upgrading my kit, and they want me to save. Fair enough, but I say "bring on 2012!!!"

anyone see the new zildjian 'inspiration pack' ? suppose to be for gospel type music... sounds like a great pack imo but pretty expensive

just picked up an 18in medium crash z3 today. Cant use it till my birthday though :/

I love the plain K custom 20" ride... it looks, sounds and records wonderfully!

im becoming more and more a zildjian guy as time goes on, already have 18" a custom crash and oriental china, looking at K cutsom rides and crashes now, really want some so expensive

Forgot to mention... the K Custom Fast Crashes are awesome sounding... My favorites are the 17" and 18"... the 18" is pretty loud... not like a projection crash... but louder than the rest of the fast crashes.

The K Custom ride has an excellent ping, stick definition... and very little wash. I don't use my ride as a crash... as I have 7 crash cymbals and don't need an 8th. So if you want a ride with crash-like qualities, I would NOT recommend the plain K Custom ride... you could try the Steve Gadd inspired session rides... they are more washy.

Yea bro, I have a 16" Zildjian A Custom Crash, best cymbal line ever IMO! I'm not getting any more drum gear this year (NO DRUM GEAR FOR 2011, WHAT WAS I THINKING???!?!!!?!), but when I do get more I'll be getting A Customs

Zildjian without a doubt is my favorite cymbal. The cymbal I'm looking for is the 22" amir ride. I always look on eBay and everywhere. Anyone have one and lookin' to sell? heh heh...

Gotta say that i love the Acustom series it blends in so well with my Z customs. Have any of you tried the 14" A custom EFX cymbal??

I agree and disagree. I agree that the plain K Custom Ride is not a good crash/ride by any means and if those qualities are what your heart is set on, check out the K Custom Medium or Dark instead (if you're staying in the KC line).
However, if you happen to be an idiot like me and buy one because Dom Howard used to sport one, you'll be surprised by its interesting crash sound.
I have a 22" K Custom Ride, and I really dig it as an alternate crash. It's dark and dirty, and I don't find it to be clangy or gongy. It's not the greatest crash/ride, but it'll do the job in its way.
Those are just my ears though.
