It's seriously the best RIDE cymbal I own. It has this great, woody, low, stick definition, clear bell, and not too much wash. It's great for busy ride patterns I wouldn't normally play on my 24" K light ride. It's not the greatest crash though. My 18" Breakbeat ride is the same way, great bell and definition without the overwhelming wash, but not the greatest crash sound. I'm seriously surprisingly pleased with this cymbal. Also, it's F'ing beautiful!

Sold a 16" A Medium crash on Thursday afternoon, then bought the second Z Custom that evening (and collected it today since it was only 12 drive minutes away in the next town, result!). One thing interesting about them is the visual difference isn't just photo/lighting deep. The first one is a 1999 and the second is 1995, and the older one has more defined, wider lathing (more like an A) and the stamps, although the same design, are noticeable different in the stamping method; the 1999 version has much more defined stamping, whereas the older on makes it look like it was hand hammered. My 2000 Z Custom hi hats match the 1999 crash for lathe and stamping marks.
Just need a pair of matching 18" Medium crashes now...

What is that? I've cooked some salt encrusted fish dishes before, but that seems a bit odd. What is the application and what are you hoping to achieve?
