Let's say you are the winner of a contest. The prize you win is a trip to the Zildjian factory where you will get to pick out a new set of cymbals! Naturally you start grabbing 3 of everything. "WOAH Pancho" says the zildjian rep, "you can only pick 1 set of hihats, 2 crashes, 1 ride, and 1 auxiliary cymbal." Now, you can pick 2 crashes has hihats and that will count as 1 hihat. You can sub rides for crashes or pick 3 crashes. You have to pick 1 auxiliary cymbal. What do you pick.

Hmmm... When choosing completely new cymbal set up, I would maybe take these:

14" K hats
22" K ride
19" K dark thin crash
18" K Custom Session crash
19" K china

But if I would keep my current cymbals and then get any five cymbals, I would take these:

15" K light hats
19" K dark thin crash
20" Oriental Crash of doom
19" K china
19" K Custom dark china

I actually just picked up some K hybrids, got a 17 and 19 crash and they have a sound like no other. My 20 K ride is a beast, I've had it for years and wouldn't replace it with any other ride (Unless something beats it)

How do you guys feel about the A Custom Projection crashes?... i got a 16" one and love it

I like the projections, I used an 18" for a few years. Wish they still made the 20".

im becoming more and more a zildjian guy as time goes on, already have 18" a custom crash and oriental china, looking at K cutsom rides and crashes now, really want some so expensive

Go Zildjian 100% man. Try looking at the A Custom Range, I love them
