quick beat hybrid

Im thinking about buying a Quick Bottom and putting a K hi hat top over it to make it a little darker. Has anyone tried this?

I have. It works ok. The K sounds better with a Z or other really heavy cymbal on the bottom.

Thanks. Im loking for a sound like Mantia has but a little bit darker, and I thought the Ks would work.
