I want a china cymbal, or a cymbal with that china sound, not to trashy that will blend well with my regular crashes. Something between a crash and china that blends well basically. Any recomendations ?

Theres a cymbal on the Deftones album "white pony" that is a very sharp attack and quick fade, but it is used and performs very well as a crash. Since I don't know Abe's setup on that record I can't tell what it is, but with some research you might find it.

Try the 18" Sabian AA Fast Chinese, it's a very crashy china cymbal, short and sweet. Or try the 18" AA Rocktagon Crash, it's a crashier cymbal with a partial china sound in it.

emopunker, that second link doesn't give any useful information about Abe's set-up...

TLD, I know what sound you're talking about - he plays it in the chorus of Knife Party and in the bridge in Passenger. I first thought it was his china, but I doubt it is, so it must be the 20" Oriental Crash of Doom. weird thing about that is that he has it set up to the left of his hi-hats, which I can imagine makes it very hard to ride. unless he rides with his left hand, that is...

HHXtreme Crashes or perhaps Signature Fierce crashes...check them out, very trashy crashes. Initial trash, with some sustain.

Paiste Signature 18" Heavy China.
