I am considering buying a Pearl Eliminator double kick pedal and was wondering what the difference between a chain drive and a belt drive was.
Is there a difference? In terms of feel, duribility etc
Which do you perfer?

I love the belt-drive, I am not formilier with the chain drive Eliminator, but the belt-drive is so smooth, quick and quiet, I just love it!!!!

i'm in love with the cain personally. i used the bellt and it almost seemed to reactive and to light for me. i need a little weight to throw around when im using double bass and the belt just wasn't doing it for me.

Someone had said previously that the replacement belt kit for the Eliminator contains enough stuff to actually convert a chain drive pedal to a belt setup - and the belt replacement kits are cheap compared to the chain ones. The pedals however are the same cost (I think).

So the logic was, buy the chain pedal and the belt replacement kits - so you can cheaply decide which one you need.
