Iīve just bought a Masters Studio kit with superhoops II on the toms. I think the diecast hoops looks a lot better but what difference are there between them soundwise?

you were lucky to get superhoop 2s. apparently diecast hoops arent too good on toms especially because they are heavy and kill lots of resonance. also, thyre more expensive.

I might not have superhoops II on my toms, just on my steve ferrone sig snare. Whatīs the difference between superhoop and superhoop II? If there is something thatīs just called "superhoops"...

Superhoop II's are the more recent version of the Superhoops. The diecast hoops aren't necessarily bad. Some people like the shorter sustain and extra focus and attack you can get from die cast hoops (me included). Drummers that like their drums to ring forever should probably avoid them though. One is not better than the other in terms of sound or quality - they're just different.
