Just saw this guy selling MCTs in finishes offered for Reference and other higher end sets. AND these are all BOP sizes.

Does this mean that MCT can be special ordered in finishes like Purple Craze?

I think the way that guy is doing it is through the music city custom program. Those are all probably wraps with an mct shell.

HMMMM. I wonder how he got Pearl to do a special order finish then? If that's the case, I want to get one in the matte walnut stain or a gloss walnut.

He has 2 of each finish ... there were 6 kits of each finish made (LIMITED EDITIONS) .. somebody else (other dealers) got the other 4 of each finish made ... now read below

"This is your chance to own a 'one of a kind' kit that won't be produced again. These kits are truly special and only 6 kits were made in this finish. If you want this same kit made in the future, you will have to order in a Masterworks configuration and would cost more than double!"

I believe he made a special bop kit purchase of 60+ kits to get those exclusive finishes.

Actually its smart on his part. They are exclusive finishes on highly sought after bop kit sizes. Nobody else will have them so he's cornered the market so-to-speak :D

Jon was just telling me he has more MCT bop kits coming in the next couple months... in some other cool finishes... Twilight Burst, Olive Burst, Antique Walnut, Piano Black, Midnight Sparkle, and White Marine Pearl. Al, is the Antique Walnut satin or glossy?

Recently purchased a MCT Bop kit from Jon and I'm super-pleased with a great kit. I've had many kits and this is without question the best looking finish I've ever owned. (and as an added bonus, the kit sounds terrific!) The finish is Glacier Blue Sparkle. My friend purchased the same kit from Jon in Purple Craze II....Stunning! Thank you Jon (and thank you Pearl!) for making these kits available....!
