I wrote a very extensive review on the Midtowns. It's 2900 + words and has plenty of pictures so it won't fit in a forum post. I hope it's OK that I link to the article on my site instead. (It's a non-commercial, not-for-profit site)

I've just read the review, its great so thanks a lot!

Am wondering about getting a practice kit should I need one (might try joining a local brass band of a high standard who I played with around 20-25 years ago). My full kit is setup with silent stroke heads and L80 cymbals, which I would convert to normal heads for concerts, so I would need a small kit for taking to rehearsals and the like, this looks like an excellent option. I also have a spare BD pedal, stands and of course cymbals...so I'm not paying for anything I don't need.

Compact,

Thanks. Great review. I love your website too (as I have a cocktail kit, and a jungle kit).

The Masterworks concept kit I'm working on this year is a Masterworks "Martini" kit. Keep an eye out for some photos. I'm sure you'll like it.
