I also have the Absinthe Sparkle in almost the same sizes. I do not have the 14x14 but will eventually and my bass is 22x16. I have been screwing around with the setup for over a month but have it the way I want it as of this past weekend. I'll take a photo tonight and post it tomorrow. Can't wait to see pics of your MCT kit(s), CUZNRED!

I have Evans heads for all of the drums. After I took these photos last night I put a Hazy 300 reso and a Genera Dry on the batter of the Absinthe snare. I really like it. I got a Tune bot but it doesn't "hear" the lug frequency very well so learning by ear. (as it should be!)

I love these drums and I haven't even tuned up the toms yet!

I still want to lower the mounted toms a little and bring them closer and add the china back on and get a 14x14 eventually. I was playing it like below for a month but like the new way better.

They are a relatively new brand called not-set-up-yet...... sound is unmatched

I think the matte finishes are cool. They are easier to handle than the gloss finishes that can be scratched more easily.
