This past week I picked up my gorgeous Antique Gold Wood Fiberglass kit from Just Drums in Toronto (an exceptional store)!
Tonight my band is playing at The Central and I'll be posting photos of the kit once I have them edited. I played the kit at rehearsal the other day and, after dialing them in, I must say they sounded very impressive.

Stay tuned!

I used to have an antique gold BRX...a very unrated color that looks great.

Thanks a lot!

Early returns are that they sound very warm and project really well. I'm not done dialing in the sound and will look to replace the stock heads. They're not horrible but also not optimal. The 14" bass drum depth makes the attack really pronounced and "round". I've only put in a small pillow to keep the open tone as much as possible.
The floor tom has surprising low end and I'm still looking to find it's perfect voice. I like throwing a handful of cotton balls into my floor toms to dampen the overtones. It works great when mic'ing a kit since the cotton balls are effective and noiseless.
I've gone from using a 10" tom to the 12" on this kit. Sound-wise my ears have to get used to it, however, this thing has an excellent usable tuning range.
I really really like this kit.

I just love the retro badges! The 1up, 1down set up is aces in my book! Freaking beauty!

I just picked up one today from Drum Center of Portsmouth. I was initially going to get a crystal beat, but these stole the show. I got the 13/16/22 config and ordered the 12 inch tom.

Nice kit, I was casually looking for one of these with a 20" bass drum however, no dealers in Canada had any in stock. (At least from the calling around I did)

Were you specifically looking for a 20" bd when you bought it?

Yup!
I had a Masters MCX kit and a Sonor Safari kit. This sits perfectly in between the two and fits in the back seat of my VW Golf - with cases.
Now that I've dialed in the sound, I'm really loving this kit.
