Just curious. Only the three? ...or anything else?

Red, orange, clear.

I hope that they expand color-wise after they're released for a while

That's what I was hoping, maybe like a sapphire or emerald too.

Yeah me too! Black, coke bottle, cyan blue would be wonderful

I think that blues look great for acrylic kits. Take this one for example - this is an original vintage Ludwig Vistalite that belongs to a friend of mine, but you get the idea. THAT is a color Pearl should offer!

Yeah man! It's a great color. Did a show with a band whose drummer had a double kick blue vistalite. Wish I would have taken pics of it!

I'd be more partial to a Emerald green shell setup, but I'll probably get a clear if it doesn't come about too soon

Since the line just debuted at Summer NAMM, there are no plans for additional finishes at this time.

Would be nice to see a lovely Aquamarine or Seafoam Blue.

A little word of advice...acrylic can be dyed using a special dye process...starts out clear, you dye it to any colour you want...

What a silly thread. The line just came out, they're obviously not going to offer 10 different finishes. They'll see how it sells and if it sells well then they'll and new finishes and sizes. Its common sense really.

Of course it's common sense - we're just chatting about what other colors we'd like to see if Pearl decides to expand the line.

Spot on. Were just chewing the fat of what we'd like to see. I don't expect a 1 off Emerald green kit just because I want one :). It's all good. I'd be more that happy with a clear setup.

When will they incorporate acrylic as one of the layers in the Reference series?

On a scale of 1 to 10 what's the possibility for acrylic hardware, pedals, and racks?

I'd guess 0.... I wouldn't think it would be strong enough. It would look cool though.

It was quite entertaining, like people asking for future fade finishes, veneers, satin hardware, and acrylic plies on masterworks kits.

I don't think black hardware is a CB option, so I'm guessing these kits with black hardware are a Guitar Center/Musician's Friend exclusive.

I'n not really a fan of black and clear though.

True. It doesn't look bad, just not my preference. I wish they had a better picture of it on the website.

I love the look of black on clear. Now if they go ahead with 24" and 18" floors. I'll have to buy another kit 😉

That wouldn't happen to be the 'drum teacher' from New Yauk with the thick glasses that used to spam his videos here, is it? He had a big blue Vistalite kit.

Pearl ... I'm sure the sales (popularity) of these kits will expand the color/size options later down the road .. 24" bass drum and Green CB's will make me buy a kit instantly .. just sayin'
