I think this is one of the better sounding demos of the Pure kits...

I LOVE the look of those new lugs.

Nicely recorded clip that demos the sound of each drum nicely.

Here are some links to the matching (natural RF Pure) snares in 14x5 and 14x6.5

I am sorry for being negative, but I don't think that ref pure kit is sounding good in that clip. I don't think it is the kit; either the recording or the tuning is not to my taste. Probably just a case of horses for courses. I prefer the one in the following link, although I don't find it perfect either. Toms much better but bass drum a bit too boomy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvG_4p-Vg4c&feature=channel_video_title

Those kick logos are HUGE!!!!! I appreciate what's trying to be accomplished here, but the drum sound in that video is mediocre at best.

Agreed. Most of the kits I hear on YouTube are tuned lower than I would like.

Agreed. Everything sounds MUCH much better without sounding processed. BD - to be fair, it's the stock heads with no port or muffling.

The first clip sounds better than the OP, but is processed. IMO, if people are going to post clips of "drum demos" so drummers can hear what the actual drums sound like, the recordings should be clean and flat.

The second clip sounds like poo-poo. Those drums sound lifeless.

Listen to this clip (Nevermind the brand of kit):

To my ears, the drums sound great in all of the passages, but the first passage is flat. That is what the kit actually sounds like. The other passages are processed.
