Hey guys,

I have a remote hi hat on its way on up here and was wondering what clamps you guys use. I have a rack and was thinking of using a ux-80 and a PCX-200. Is that the best way to go? Any other ideas?

Thanks guys
Matt

Should work just fine as long as the UX-80 is long enough, plus you can rotate the PCX-200 on the rack so the clamp is on top not in front. I dont recall seeing anyone mount their clamps other than 'normal'.

With a rack, the PCX-200/UX-80 would be the easiest way to go. You can also use a multi clamp and attach it to a cymbal boom as well.

You can also mount it directly to the rack if your clamp will accept the diameter / size of the remote hi-hat.

Below are various set-ups of how I mounted the RH-2000(s) to my Gibraltar rack.

Currently I have mine attached to a Pearl tom arm so I can really adjust the positioning on it.

I use an AX-25L clamped to a tom arm, here's a couple pics that sort of show it:

I use a DW remote but the same idea applies. I use a Dogbone clamp it's like a multi clamp. Below you can see it is attached to a Pearl cymbal stand

Thanks again guys! I ordered the ux80. Unfortunately the shipping was the same as the clamp so it was 50 bucks to get up here. Too bad my local shop doesnt stock this stuff!
