If you were a high profile Pearl endorsee, and you the opportunity to design you own signature snare, what would it be?
I'm not sure which I would pick out of these two:
James Owens Signature Snare Drum #1:
6.5"x13" 8 ply 10mm Maple shell
SuperHoop II
SR-015 strainer
8 CL-65 bridge lugs
3 air vents
Precision-fit Stainless Steel tension rods and solid Brass recievers
#102 Natural laquer
Chrome plated hardware
Fitted with Evans Genera Batter and Evans Hazy 300 snare side heads
6.5"x14" 1 ply 7.5mm Maple shell
SuperHoop II
SR-015 strainer
8 CL-65 bridge lugs
3 air vents
Precision-fit Stainless Steel tension rods and solid Brass recievers
#102 Natural laquer
Chrome plated hardware
Fitted with Evans Genera Batter and Evans Hazy 300 snare side heads
If only...
Anyway, let your imagination run wild!!

My signature snare(s) would be a Phosphor Bronze 14x6.5 Free Floater with black hardware and all the usual hardware. The heads would be an Evans Power Center Reverse Dot (batter) and a Evans Hazy 300 Snare Side.
My second signature snare would be a 10 ply maple
14x5.5
Die-Cast Hoop on the batter and a SuperHoop II on the snare side
RL-65 BR lugs
Gladstone style strainer
Precision-fit Stainless Steel tension rods and solid Brass recievers
#100 Wine Red Gloss Fading into black
All brass hardware
Puresound snare wires
4 air vents (not like OCDP)(regular vents)

I would like a combination of a black chrome-on-brass, free floating shell with a snare mechanism like that of a Rogers Dyna-Sonic. The hardware would be either gold or satin chrome.

...My sig snare would be a 13x5.5" brass sensitone with die cast hoops.
That is what I am currently using as my number 2 snare.
I also just picked up a used 13x3" steel shelled piccolo and I am really impressed with it. I replaced the hoops, using the super hoops that came with my sensitone. This does give the drum a more solid feel. Actually, I changed my mind. This would be my sig snare. They are priced so reasonable I would be able to throw them like frisbees into the crowd after a show.
I actually like Pearls less expensive snares more than some of their higher priced models.
