I'd like an opinion on this one; please!

I have a 22 x 16 Pearl Export kick and I want to rig it for Marching.

well, that's quite interesting. Im not sure how good it would sound, but it could be fairly easily done.

First, you would want to strip the drum of any unnecessary hardware, such as the spurs and tom mount. I would recommend re-wrapping it to cover up all of the unneeded holes.

After that, you need to pick up 2 machine threaded eye-hooks, 4 bolts (two on each side of hook) and 4 rubber and 4 large metal washers, again two for each side of the hook.

After that, Measure out two level holes about a foot apart, centered on the drum (from bearing edge, not edge of hoop)

Then tighten up the bolts so that the hooks are laying parallel to the ground.

Buy yourself a pear/yamaha/dynasty/mapex harness (either will work for this bass) and some actual marching bass heads, and there you go!

It'll be a bit wider than normal marching basses (I think the normal is diameter x 14), but it could work.

Yea, I guess you're right.
Maybe I'll just sell the kit to a beginner.

Check you later,
