How much is the TD-6?

I'd go TD-5 though, I've heard it has great samples...

I have both units.

I use the TD6 as my main module. It has more sounds, better sound editing capabilities and a built in sequencer.

The TD5 is a little more dated. You can get some decent sounds out of it with a lot of programming. I do like the fact that it is rack mountable. I keep it in my rack as a back-up unit should my TD6 fail.

I'm interesed in playing some "drum n' bass" would both models have sounds for that sort of thing?

I use the TD-5. I have used it for years and it has some great sounds. I have used it with mesh heads on acoustic drums. The bass drum was used with an acoustic head with external trigger. Worked flawlessly.

I now use it to trigger my acoustic drums. Again works flawlessly.

I got mine for $125.00 off of Ebay. It was used only once in a studio for recording an album. To me it is a versatile piece of equipment and will provide many years of edrumming capability for you.
