View Full Version : my 8x14 RMV snare

Yeah i got myself this snare, 8x14, 6mm brazilian maple wood shell, power hoops and low mass tube lugs.

this is the only pic i got so far.

It came with a 14" RMV "vintage coated" head. I want to puta a ambassador on it, what do you guys think?

SO far im liking it a lot, the drum sounds dry and dark, very hard rockish! The sensitivity is not that lost at all, i can get it to sound more sensitive controlling the snare wires.

Maybe i will put a die cast hoop at least on top, what do you guys think?

What finish is that? Looks a lot darker than their natural pics I've seen

Itīs an amber finish, i think its a more rare finiush they have.

het guys i will soon be changing the batter head of this snare. Should i put an abassador coated? or maybe an evans st dry?
