well, i see the Steve Ferrone signature snare is now gone off of Pearl's snare line...........Who is Steve endorsing now?

if your really want one im sure some stores still have a couple in stock and theres always ebay

Yes, it shouldn't be too hard to find these snare drums in stores still. In a way, it is still in the Pearl product line with the newer SensiTone Elite snare drum line. The brass shells with the black nickel coating should be very close to it.

yeah pearl came out with another one i forget i think is also a sensitone but it escapes me right now. but they took it out to the same specs only under a different name so yeah

thats a shame, i've never played one but i got to hear mr ferrone play it when i saw tom petty last summer and it sounded great. plus any time i hear anything about it its always good stuff.

Wonder if my Ferrone snare will be a collectable or just another Signature product where the drummer has decided to go to another company??

I did not buy it because Steve played one (he is a great drummer) but I do feel for the kids out there who save up for the stuff their hero's play only to find they have moved on to another drum/cymbal company after just buying something. Must piss them off. **$
