I think that this is the best deal that Music123 has. Wow. Nice finish too.

I assume these prices are in US dollars. Mapex Pro M 6 Piece Studio Kit. That 6 piece kit only costs $1000 USD.

How much would shipping be for that Sessions kit that you are getting? It is an "Oversized Product", so shipping charges apply.

Nice kit, I have a Session in Cranberry Fade. You wont be disappointed with it. Somebody told me that they make sessions from off-cut wood from Masters, dont know if its true. Maybe someone from Pearl can enlighten us ? Have fun !

you will love this kit and the finish is amazing. I just got the same kit about a month ago. And I know the wood is suppose to be a lesser grade then the masters but let me tell you it's still an awsome looking set. You can't even tell the difference, and sound wise, Amazing. I hope you got the kit and love it I know I do.:D

That's really tempting at that price. I gotta think about it, but I may have to get that myself.

Anyone got some pics?

I hope xxxDISENGAGExxx doesn't mind me using his words...

This is concerning the mrx vs srx

The hardware differences are a bigger deal than most people make it seem. The die cast hoops on the MRX add focus to the toms. The stainless steel tension rods can be tuned more precisely. The Masters lugs and rubber lug gaskets imrpove sustain. The MRX also has 10 lug bass and snare drums instead of 8 like the SRX and it is standard without a bass drum tom mount.

the drums can produce very similar sounds (if you spend the $$ to replace all the Pearl heads on the SRX with Remo/Evans/Aquarian)

don't get me wrong, the SRX is an awesome kit - but there are good reasons that the MRX costs more. I personally chose an MRX kit based on the reasons I listed above.

RJX you are absoloutly right about the difference between the Masters and the SRX. He is why for me it was more economical to get the SRX and "fell Like I Have A Masters" I paid $1099.99 for the shell pack with optimounts. Then I sold the Snare that came with the kit on ebay for $200.00.so that brings the shell pack price down to $899.99 I did purchase new remo heads 3 for the bottom of the toms and 3 for the batter side that cost me $60.00 so now I spent 959.00. I already had a new Evans Emad head for the bass, a Gibraltar rack, Chad Smith snare, Pear Eliminator double bass pedal and Hi Hat, Now here is the clincher. I also had a 6 month old Export Select which I sold for $600.00 so in reality I paid $359.00 to upgrade to an SRX in Platinium Mist. If I were to purchase a whole new kit from scratch I would purchase a Masters wothout a doubt. But I would order it with the super hoops on the toms.

I will post some better pics when I get them.
