Hello everybody, I recently went of a shopping spree on a mission to add more colour to my kit. And after 2 hours of shopping i came back with 11 (yess 11) splashes. Now im trying to figure out how to mount them. I want to put 4 by the high hats, 4 by the front toms and the remaining three by the ride cymbal to the right. So how do i do this? Oh, and one more thing, my drum budget is on a tight squeeze so i dont want this to be too, too expensive. Any help is appreciated. Heres a picture.

wow.... now wait a second, you bought 11 splashes but want to worry about the money???

I would suggest buying three or four boom stands, and then for each boom stand attach a clamp-on boom arm (8 boom stands) and then a cymbal stacking attachment. that gives you enough stuff to stack 12 splashes.

you could get gribralter cymbal arms. those are about 20 to 30 dollars. you could also get some cymbal stackers those are about 30 dollars.

Gibraltar (and/or LP) makes a THREE splash cymbal arm holder that clamps to racks or stands. Sounds like you need a few. Another option to consider to to get a couple cymbal stackers. These screw on top of your existing stands and are great for splashes. As far as single small splash clamps go, TAMA makes a great little clamp that goes on the opposite end of a solid rod boom arm for under $20. Save money and space.

Buying and using separate standard boom cymbal arms and clamps for ELEVEN splashes would be ludicrous, I agree.

Rack might make it cleaner. LOL. In that drawing, are you only showing the splashes you have, or do you only have splashes? What about crashes and rides?

I don't have any splashes, or chinese. I don't know when to use them. LOL.

No, in the picture i am only showing the splashes and nothing else. Mainly because i found that with the placement of my other stands the splashes will not be able to connect to them.

I'm not trying to sound like an ***, but why did you get that many without thinking about how you're going to mount them? 5 splash cymbals and 5 cymbal mounts(stands and/or clamps) would have been a more practical thing to do. Just my opinion.

Don't mind me, but what in god's name do you need 11 splashes for?

seriously... 11 splashes won't add color to your kit... they'll add insanity.

11 splashes is unheard of, if you look at it one way that's a good thing, but i wouldn't know what the hell to do with all of them. if you're looking to cut cost, i suggest returning some of the splashes to accomodate your mounting costs.

maybe return the B8 or the pro splashes and get some tama clamps to attach to your normal cymbal stands as it is. btw, i have a friend that has gone through 3 B8 splashes in a year and he doesn't play hard... i convinced him to get an AAX one and it's held up very nicely.

Yeah, contrary to my signature, this may be a case of too many cymbals - splashes at least.

It sounds like you got splashes from pretty much every line of Sabian cymbals available. I'd take back some of the lower-end ones and get mounts instead as was previously suggested.

myself i only have 2 splashes but i wud buy more if i wasnt saving for a crash and a ride and some hats and.. u know how it is.

11 splashes. and worried about money. and you bought B8 and Pro series splashes. what the F man. I give you props for such an insane and impractical purchase though... I thought I was the biggest splash fan there was

i dunno man, i love splashes... all i have right now is a 10" HH duo splash, it's great.

eventually i plan on getting 3 more (different) splashes for a grand total of 4 on my kit.

11 splashes are a bit much for my taste, but hey if you got the cash go for it. to add more color to my playing,id gone for more percussion items instead. jam blocks, cowbells, tamborine timbales etc, but to help you out, dw makes4" and 6" stackers which attach to most brands of existing hardware. samash $11 bucks

also ive found that sabian pro sonics splashes sound a bit better to me than their higher end counterparts . i have the 8" and 10".

Well yah, it is a bit much, i sold the B8's and B8 pros, and got some money back. But i didnt need to save because it was the money from a bonus that i had gotten.
