So am I. I need about 1,000$ till I can start my project :) It will be great. I got my quote today actually on my stuff from Gold N Times. Here's some prices for those of you looking for something similar in the future...

24x18
14x5.5
12x9
16x16

$610.00 altogether for a plain clear acrylic. I imagine it would be more for one with, say, a color over the acrylic and what-not. but that may help you guys looking into Gold N Times. Hardware so far has been a little over 600$ for some nice hardware (tube lugs, all black, Trick throw-off, and die-cast rims on the snare).

Hope this helps some of you get a round about price range!:)

what do you think it would cost to re wrap one marching snare... 14x12... in red sparkle? I mean just go buy the actual wrap.

speaking of custom builds, I posted a few days back and no one responded. I ordered shells and hardware from AMD drumsupplys and am wondering about some paint advice. http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/showthread.php?t=143913&highlight=advice
anyways, if anyone may have some advice I would apreciate it

I'm about to bid on a vintage sling marching snare on ebay. How can I patch a few extra holes in it? Just regular wood filler? or would that affect the sound? I'm going to rewrap it....so shoud I just wrap over them and not worry about it?

Just to let everyone know, I am refinishing my old drums from a plastic wrap to a stain. I'm currently waiting for the first coat of varnish to dry and apply one or two more coats. I will be painting the hardware black. But the biggest part of this is, that I am converting them into electric drums, all from scrap. Getting the money for a module will be hard though, but I'll come through(eBay probably). I will post instructions of it all when I am done. I do have to order some parts in for the electrical so it might be 3 or so weeks before it will be all done.

Peace.
