What are the best type of drum mufflers, I have been using socks and beanies but they suck, horribly

Good thread. I was checking out that drumART stuff too. Pretty insane. I don't know if I'm at the point where I'd need to make my drums look cool like that though.

What are the best type of drum mufflers, I have been using socks and beanies but they suck, horribly\

Remo Muff'ls. You can get 'em at GC, but as a warning, they take out ALL of your resonance. You get a totally 'stale' sound unless you thwack your heads (which is what I have to do at church) to get some decent decay.
