I have a Tama Ion Cobra twin pedal. I like it alot, but it seems like there is too much tension. How should I adjust it too make it feel like i'm stepping on air?

Nice pedal you got there. Try to adjust the spring tension which you feel much better. Try also adjusting the beater angle / footboard height.

Adjust it to what makes you feel comfortable. It takes a long time to find that right feel. As time goes and the more you play your preferences change also. I've been playing for about 16 years and once in a while I still mess with the pedal tension. Sometimes the tension feels perfect for a long time, but then I'll need to tighten or loosen it up. You'll find that right tension. It takes time and a lot of messing around with the spring.

the way i go by is i put my foot on the pedal, and just relax...for me, the beater should be 4 inches from the head. and from there its perfect for me...i dunno if this would work for anyone else, but i thought id share
