Hey Fellow Drummers,
you have no idea about the amount of dust, dirt, and Cola(!) that could be found on an 18 year old lady... The short story: I bought a BLX set from a drummer, who used this kit as a practice set, never gigged, but it was stored in his basement. The original purchase date was 1991 (still have the original invoice), and kit wasn't cleaned at all since Here come the photos, that I made after a whole day with the bassdrum - it seemed the only real tragedy in the set - , the first 5 pics are before (take a look at the inside of the lug: first class corrosion , but it went away now), and the second 5 are the finished. The wood shells are in perfect condition, so there will be no problem proudly play this set on any stage

Wow! What a great kit. I'm glad it's now in the hands of someone who really appreciates it. Great job.

I just cleaned it with a window-cleaner that contains some alcohol (as I always do with lacquered drums), and that's all. The most important thing about the cleaning is the micro-active (I'm not shure how to say it in english, hopefully you will see the point) cleaning cloth, which cleans the surface without any scratch.
