I just ordered one of these for my snare. (Trick GS007) I just find the stock throw off feels and looks cheap. I have read good things on this one.

Well, that means I'll have to return them.
I haven't had a chance to tune them yet but I will be getting around to that today.
Remo clear Emps over Ambs to come but will have to wait until a few weeks from now.
Thanks for the comments guys. She's a beauty.

Well I'd agree with PureRockFury 'cept the heads are entry level for sure. Stock doesn't sound too bad on the kick but for the rest of the kit no way... go get those emp batters asap... great finish, love the red on that kit!

I think it was a force 3007 with a custom finish and custom woofers.

Snakes&Arrows Your Red Sonor kit is awesome!

I just got off the phone with L&M. They are putting aside the clear Emps and the clear Ambs for toms, Hazy for the snare side and I am not sure yet for the batter side.

Remo UT heads are USA made Dupont mylar, which is the exact same as Remo Ambassadors. The difference is the construction of the head, which is where cheap comes in. The USA made Dupont mylar is shipped to China and assembled there. They use a crimplock collar, that is the same as a marching crimplock. Cheap and a quick process to do.

Remo UX or UK heads are Chinese mylar and are the cheapest heads out of all the stock heads.

Even the stock heads on my Tama Superstar Hyperdrive are USA made Dupont mylar.

My toms sound amazing with stock reso's on them and Emperor's on the batter.. i have the same kit. so the reso skin isnt really a big deal.

Ill hopefully have a really ****ty solo in like 2 days i could post it to show you how my drums sound.

I just bought $265 worth of heads for all of the drums, tops and bottoms for everything. Clear Remo Emps over Clear Remo Ambs for the toms, Remo Coated Emp for snare batter and Hazy for snare side and a PS3 for the kick's batter.
I will probably do all of this tomorrow.

I just bought 16", 17" & 18" HHX Evolution Crashes from a guy in town. They are practically brand new!

With some Xmas $, I'll be able to set them up on new stands and add them to the mix.
I had an 18" HHX Evolution with my Tamas but I sold it a few months ago so I am stoked!
I got all 3 for the same price I paid for the used 18" several months back! That's the kicker! Nuts!

Default Updated pics - New pies & stands

Hey guys,

Today I bought 3 Tama Roadpro boom stands that were on sale for $65 from Long & McQuade for my 16, 17 & 18 inch HHX Evolution crashes.

They usually sell for $95. Nice deal.

I had them on my Hyper-Drive kit and loved the quick-set tilters.

Enjoy.
