New to Pearl forum

Hey all you drummers out there. Just ordered my New Pearl Masters MCX in PEWTER GLASS, Sizes 22x18 kick, 12x9, 13x10 Toms, 16x16 floor and 14x5.5 Snare. I decided on the Pearl Masters after all the positive feedback from the Pearl Forum. I am Pumped and have been a drummer for 20 plus years. This by far is going to be the best set that I have ever owned !!

Congrats on placing the order for your Masters MCX kit! Pewter Glass is an awesome looking finish.
You have made a killer choice in drums, and are going to have a great time when your kit arrives.
The Masters series kits really are that good!

I love Pewter Glass Glitter and they discontinued it a couple years ago. So your kit will be on the rare side and that's a plus. I also prefer those sizes; which no longer seem to be the standard. These days everyone gets a 10" x 8" instead of a 13" x 10". They still sound great in either size. Wellcome!

Welcome to PDF! I don't own an MCX or any Masters series kit..but I have played them enuff to know that MCX are great drums!

Well this last Friday I recieved my New Pearl Masters MCX in Pewter Glass and WOW what an awesome Drum Set. The quality is without a doubt some of the best I have seen. Can't wait to get them on stage. One question to the forum, what heads do you fellow drummers with a Masters set use? Any info would help me in making a decision on the best way to go. I have read that alot of pro's use Remo Coated heads. Any feedback here?

You're guaranteed to have a great sound with clear G2's over clear G1's or the Remo version of the same (i.e. clear emporer over clear ambassador).
