Default Axis problems... go figure

K so I have Axis AL-2 Doubles and My universal joint broke (closest to the master pedal.
Just the bearings tho, the housing is fine, but cant find a way to purchase just a new bearing kit for it. Ive emailed axis, got nothing back(3 weeks now multiple emails_ so I call the 800 number "Guitar center is an authorized retailer, we do not issue personal sales from our offices" so i call Guitar center, then go in with the pedal because the idiot must not know what a universal joint is... so he tells me "no you need to buy a whole new Driveshaft"... eff that. $118 and a 3 week wait for 16 little bearings that fell out?!?! id rather just buy another bass drum and play true duals... can someone direct me on how i should go about getting this done.. i refuse to buy a whole new driveshaft for bout $5 in bearings

If you know the size and type of the bearings you could order them online from a bearing store. bearingsdirect.com is a pretty good shop. Tama made me order a whole new unit from them when I was shopping for a drive shaft, I would expect the same from axis

thanks, just the reason i refuse to buy a whole new driveshaft is because its not a sealed assembly like Tama/Pearl type its literally open faced recession in the square joint with single bearings thrown in, kinda like old *** skateboard wheels were setup lol

AXIS does NOT answer their email! So don't bother. But, every time I've called their direct line someone picks up and i have been able to order parts, no problem. If you can't get just the bearings maybe you can order a new U-joint

It looks like the Pearl shaft, and you just need a split roll pin. Any hardware store will them, even Home Depot and maybe Lowes.
