You/he must be talking about the signature 20" heavy bell ride. Yes, they are discontinued, however, they where not mega bells, just heavy bell. Still a cool ride!

I did. Granite Sprakle. 22X18, 22x18, 14x14, 12x9, 10x8. So far. Getting the 16x16 soon. I also want to find a snare, but holding out for the 13x6.5 I think. I will say this, very impressive! Looks smoking hot all set up. Pics shortly. Everything is just smooth. Sound is a dream. Pnuchy kicks, deep floors, and toms that sing! Only down side, they are HEAVY! The darn floor tom is like hauling around my entire cymbal bag! I cannot see taking a full double bass kit to many shows. Only the big ones. Still, just uber impressive. I only wish this had satin hardware. Biggest mistake discontinuing that! I would have paid $500 more, EASY for that option.

I'm looking for a used Reference kit with a 18X20 kick. If I have to order it new, I would go for the emerald fade, midnight fade or scarlet fade with black hardware.

I know whay you mean about the "Big Haul", but if your drums weren't heavy, they wouldn't sound like they do.

Frank, some quick pics of the new set up. Sorry, bad lighting (to much). Anyway, loving them! Loving the racks on both sides. When I used a full rack, it was a pain moving it for shows. I would have limited time to set up, and during transport, the rack would shift, so nothing would line up right at the gig. Now, with just stand alone racks, I can set them up quicker, and transport them without worry. Plus, it looks cool and works great!

Enjoy...
