Hey DLX,
Sorry, I kinda highjacked your thread. Paint wont effect the sound of the drum. If you are going with a pro in a shop, let them use whatever paint they know. No need to pay extra. But make sure they know to tape off the bearing edge and inside of the shell. Paint on that will mess up the performance of the drum. Curing time can be on them. Most bake at 150f for 30min. That temp wont effect the shell any. If you have any other question I didnt cover just PM me.
