Premier modern classic black hammered brass snare

After a lot of faffing about with untruthful couriers, the mighty beast arrived today, and what a piece of work she is. First thing that caught my attention was the weight of her, it's a hefty beast. The finish is exquisite, both inside and out. I had a play on her and this drum is a bit special, sensitive (rolls sound tremendous on her) but also blinkin' loud and with that lovely warm ring only brass can deliver. I swapped the pressed rims of her for diecasts, and now it sounds focused, and the rim shots are like a howitzer. She's sexy, british, and is now paired up with my Yamaha 8000 kit. Once my projector is finished she'll be spending a bit of time with them an' all. Premier have done me proud with this drum.

That is one beautiful snare! You lean towards the 'beastly of beasts' and take no prisoners when it comes to snares (including your 14x10 Pearl gem).

I think it's a 14 x 7, but with the diecasts on it looks like an 8". Thanks for the thumbs up, guys, it is a beautiful piece of kit, and will surely appreciate, as it's one of the last of the English made Premiers made in Leicester.
