    Everyone on this forum seems to hate it. What exactly is wrong with it?

    I don't care for the YESS system because it involves drilling into the shell for the tom mount to attach to. I prefer the Pearl Optimount system because it attaches to 2 top and 2 bottom lugs with no extra drilling on the shell. Hope that helps.

    I'm not a fan of the YESS because the entire tom is resting on 2 screws that are connected to the mounts, but I heard that it doesn't effect the sound that much because of wavelengths etc, and the mount is placed at a 'node' of sound. Anyway, that is what I have heard.
    I wish that one thing came back from 80's metal: the ability for rock to change the physical properties of things. Like they could go up to a Geo Metro and go 'squibbily blabbily boo' and you have a sleek Lambourgini. Thanks, Night Ranger!

    ok thats what I thought, thanks. Good thing I won't be mounting anything bigger than a 12" tom on those mounts.
