OK... so heres the deal
i had a throne that came with my set. im not the lightest person, and i tend to sit on the edge of the throne, so, it being cheap and all it snapped. so i decided to remake the throne. heres what i used :
old throne parts
1 inch thick wood
a lawn chair pillow/cushion
red and white fabric
step 1
i cut a circle out of the wood, this will be the base of the seat so dont make it humongous.
step 2
rip open the cushions and cut out circles out of the filling material that are the same size as your wood base. (trace the base onto the filling material)
step 3
screw your wood base ont the part of the throne that held the stand and seat together
step 4
pile 2 layers of cushion material ( whatever is comfortable) onto the wooden base.
step 5
cut a circle of fabric that is a bit bigger that your throne diameter. then cut a strip that is long enough to cover the perimiter of your throne (or 2 strips which is easier) and sew them together so that you get a cover (sorry youre on your own on this one)
step 6
pull the cover over the cushion and base tightly and nail down remaining fabric into the wood base
now you have a custom throne...
heres my result, im not a particularly skilled patchwork artist so it kinda looks like a monkey did it... but its **** comfy
also its 5 cm wider than my old one
