    Default Evans Level 360?

I've just watched the video here and I'm still a little bit confused about what this is.
Is it just a new collar design that will be on all their drum heads from now on? And will the Level 360 logo be on all the heads like it shows?
Any information would be good, I'm surprised there isn't already a thread for this.

So what have they done? Apart from just made the edge steeper? And heads always seat right as long as your drum is well made! And if it isn't, these heads won't help. I'm failing to see anything special about these heads.

it seems like they made the edge steeper for more contact, and changed something about the shape of the collar so it will fit on vintage drums too... I've never had a vintage drum so I don't know much about that problem. I think they're supposed to tune easier out of the box, because they're already contoured to the shape of the shell. Like it's already bent into the shape a used drumhead would be bent into, kind of. I'm not entirely sure.
And frankly I don't like the big Level 360 logo on the head either.

Maybe someone from Evans can help us out here?

Oh, I kinda see how that would enable lower tunings now! That's pretty neat.

It's a great idea, a broken in head without the break in! **** logo. Maybe they will just change their format to it across the range.

I might end up trying these on the next rehead.

I need to give Evans another chance.

Looking at the heads in the video, it looks like the 360 logo is within the standard Evans oval, similar to their other heads. I hope that's the case as I'm an Evans guy and would like to try these heads. If the logo is like what's in the photos, though, it is indeed a little off-putting.

It sounds like we don't have a choice whether or not we try them, it's just a new collar design that will go on every head. I'm sure they changed the bass drum heads too. I'm sure I'll like it all though, I haven't been disappointed by Evans yet.
It would be pretty rad if they could make a collar that works on toms and bass drums, so we could have even more options for bass drum heads. Is that how the Aquarian collar works? I don't know a lot about these things, but on the website it says they offer their tom heads from like 6" - 26" or something crazy
