Gretsch Renown maple and My Ludwig kit; Yamaha, Pearl Sensitone Aluminum and Pork Pie snares. DW 9002, Pearl Eliminator and IC Powerglide double pedals. Many cymbals.

Can't go wrong with an Aluminum snare, the Sensitones are excellent.... A well built version of the Acro. (like the Miata is to the MG)

Tried it tonight. Great sounding snare, when playing, its sounds like a pre recorded snare! Really easy to tune too, it was high and sounded good, I tuned it down a little in less than 5 min with pretty good results. I can say I'm really happy with my 2 metal snares: this one and my Pork Pie BOB!

Where did you get it from? The 6.5" deep models are hard to come by. I managed to score a 5"x14" right after they were discontinued.
