Pearl Lost Another Corps

I understand the Blue Stars have gone with Mapex now. At least they didn't go all the way down the toilet with Dynasty...

While I have a hard time stomaching SCV withOUT Pearl, I know that Rennick has completely redesigned the Dynasty snares so they don't sound like complete garbage. Between his new snare, and his tuning... I'm excited, to say the least.

As for Blue Stars and Mapex? Not a huge move, in my opinion. Blue Stars have never been a real staple corps, and Pearl hasn't been a staple for them. So, we shall see.

I would guess that it has to do with overall deals. Blue Stars probably play Jupiter horns and Mapex and Jupiter are the same company if I'm not mistaken. Playing one companies full line is probably a better deal than just playing their horns and someone else's percussion...

Mapex drums are pretty well made but I think Pearls are better. Money has everything to do with it.
