i thought about taking these to a local park but got lazy.. i think my back yard worked ok

The second to last picture really shows off the detail that goes into this finish. The entire drum, even the blackest part does have some red flake to it. But the black end of the drum has small flakes that are sporadically applied while the reddest parts are bigger flakes.
They are really beauties on stage too.
and Joey, I agree I love the white head! So happy I got it over black... wasn't my choice, just got lucky.
